Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace is presenting the eighth “Yunnan Culture Festival” on June 18th and 19th, 2016. During the festival, all guests will be able to join the bamboo dances and Songkran Water Festival to experience the real culture of the Dai ethnic minority in Yunnan. Guests can also feast on the splendid Yunnan authentic buffet featuring Xishuangbanna barbecue, Yunnan rice noodles and Yunnan rice wine in our outdoor Marquee.

The Water Festival happens every year during the Dai calendar New Year in Xishuangbanna, Ruili and Mangshi of Yunnan. The celebration includes light-hearted religious rituals where everyone ends up getting splashed with water, which is a symbol of religious purity and goodwill. As the representative of Yunnan culture in Beijing, Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace celebrates this water festival every May to June during the Yunnan Culture Festival. Where colorful Yunnan costumes and décor creates the celebratory atmosphere while cultural dances will be staged and authentic Yunnan cuisine will be specially prepared.

Different from the previous events, on the second day of the festival, the hotel invites all families to celebrate Father’s Day at the same time. Kids could have fun with their father and share the happiness with the warm sunlight of an early summer day.
