Yunmeng Mountain National Forest Park is located in the northwest of Miyun County, Beijing, with a total area of 2208 hectares. All of them are natural secondary forest areas with forest coverage rate of 95%. The main peak is 1414 meters above sea level. There are 824 species of plants and 113 species of wild terrestrial vertebrates. According to the measurement, the temperature of Yunmeng Mountain is generally 6-7℃ lower than that at the foot of the mountain, and the content of negative oxygen ions in the air is 12 times higher than that in the city. It is the first choice for popular science education, mountain summer vacation and forest eco-tourism.

Features of the scenic spot:

1. Geology and geomorphology

    Yunmeng Mountain scenic area covers a total area of 2208 hectares. The main peak is 1414 meters above sea level. The mountain is mainly composed of volcanic rocks. The mountains are steep and valleys are deep.

2. Climate

    The temperature of Yunmeng Mountain is generally 6-7℃ lower than that of plain area at foot of mountain. The content of negative oxygen ion in the air is 6-12 times higher than that in city. The air humidity and ventilation conditions are superior. However, the temperature of Yunmeng Mountain in summer is between 20℃ and 24℃, and the highest temperature is about 28℃.

3. Biological resources

    It is mainly primary secondary forest with forest coverage rate of 91%. There is pine forest, birch forest and so on. Among them, there are 26.7 million square meters of natural forest, with hundreds of species of pine and cypress.
