The cool wind brings beautiful waves to the long river in summer. The lovely fish play happily in the gentle waves. A few wild ducks swim into the reeds nearby and play hide and seek. In the ear is the unknown bird call; in the eye is the scenery that can cure a lifetime of childhood, Fangshan people's best memory is inseparable from this river. This long-standing river, witnessed the passage of time. After the changes of the times, this is –Fangshan Xiaoqinghe.
The Xiaoqinghe originates from Jiulong Mountain in Mentougou, on the right bank of Yongding River in Beijing. It flows through Fengtai and Fangshan districts of Beijing and enters Zhuozhou City of Hebei Province. It joins with Beijuma River and flows into Baigou river. Starting from Daning reservoir, it passes through more than 30 administrative villages in five townships, including Changxindian, Changyang, Liangxiang, Doudian and Liulihe, with a total length of about 30km. The roads on both sides of Xiaoqinghe River are clean and tidy, and the banks are planted with a variety of trees. The gap is paved into a path with gravels. It provides convenient conditions for everyone to rest, walk, enjoy the scenery. Walking in the picturesque river, it seems to come to the natural oxygen bar.
The reeds, which are more than one person tall, form the most natural background wall for photographing. The water grass and shallow water are accompanied by each other, and there is a feeling of "seeing cattle and sheep when the wind blows on the grass". The history of Xiaoqinghe can be traced back to the Jin Dynasty at least. It has also become a grain transportation waterway. It also carries the most precious memory of our Fangshan people.
