798 Art District

In the north of 798, there is the longest graffiti wall in China, or even the longest wall in Asia. Artists Dezio, Aigor and Zyko are said to have painted their names on the walls for the first time on a winter night in 2010. At that time, this kind of behavior was still illegal, and then it was accepted by people, so the walls were occupied one by one. On the wall of more than 3 kilometers, graffiti patterns are next to each other. Almost every graffiti artist in Beijing and countless artists from Germany, Russia and France have left their works and signatures here.

Dazhongsi subway station

Metro station of line 13 is directly connected with Xizhimen station and Wudaokou station. In fact, the subway runs on the ground, so the walls here become the perfect graffiti board. When you take the train, you can see countless paintings and words on the left and right walls.

In the north of Dazhong Temple Station, on the wall next to Zhichun Road subway station are listed colorful graffiti names. The official permission has been obtained for graffiti painting here. To observe the graffiti of classical fonts and figures in close range, people can also watch while walking here. As the construction site is behind the wall, the surrounding environment is a little chaotic, and this sense of chaos is reflected in the design of the wall. The graffiti and older 3D fonts that you can see here are very rare in other places. Because these styles have not been popular in Beijing so far, they also make the wall more valuable for visitors.

Sanlitun

In the middle of Sanlitun Bar Street, behind the shopping center, we can find a lot of graffiti in an underground garage. As early as 2006, all floors of the garage were filled with graffiti. The name of a wall adjacent to the China Japan Friendship Hospital near Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology has undergone some changes in recent years. It used to be a graffiti wall that was partially demolished a year ago and replaced by a metal fence. At that time, painting on the surface of the remaining walls was forbidden. Now, the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology is back. Although the area is greatly reduced, it is ready for new works.

Gulou
