Beiwu Park at foot of Jade Spring Hill

2019-08-27

Beiwu Park, site of original Beiwu village, is located at the foot of Jade Spring Hill.  A paddy field and cattle sculpture revitalizing the original rural life can still be found at the park. Besides, the old Jinshan Temple and Guandi Temple are still preserved.

The park is separated into East Park and West Park. The design of the park highlights the Chinese traditional culture with the modern elements. The East Park shares sites with the Summer Palace and Jade Spring Hill, and the West Park is at the north side of the Beiwu Jiayuan Apartment Complex. There is also space for nearby residents to relax and conduct festival celebration.

Unlike other country parks and city parks, Beiwu Park is harmonious the neighboring Summer Palace and Jade Spring Hill, improving the overall quality of the park.

Climbing onto the hill in the park, you could see the peaceful lake with the reflection of the beautiful mountains and trees. Besides, you could see the Jade Spring Hill at the observatory. If the weather permits, you could also see the Tower of Buddhist Incense of the Summer Palace.
