Built in 1954, Beijing Capital Theatre is one of the earliest theatres in China as well as one of the largest theatres. It is the veune for

Beijing People’s Art Theatre since 1956. Housed in an elegant Soviet-style building, the theatre is located at northern end of Wangfujing Avenue, one of the busiest areas of Beijing.

Covering an area of 15 thousand square meters, it is a complex of performances, rehearse and administration. The theater features classical and luxurious design whose auditorium and lounge are decorated with various stylish lanterns. It can hold about 1000 audiences and boasts decent audio system to ensure audiences enjoying performance. In addition, drama bookstore, gallery, and café are available.
