Bird's Nest:

The Bird's Nest or National Stadium was the main venue of the Summer Olympics where the wonderful opening ceremony took place. The National Stadium looks like a huge iron nest which is ideally placed in the Olympic Green.
Water Cube

The Water Cube, also known as the Beijing National Aquatics Center, is the venue where swimming competitions were held in the course of the 2008 Olympics. Resembling a large pure ice cube, it was built alongside Beijing National Stadium in the Olympic Green.
Olympic Forest Park


Situated north of the Bird Nest and Water Cube, the Olympic Forest Park enjoys high reputation in Beijing. Boasting a total area of 680 hectares, it is known as the largest man made forest park in urban area. The park features many walking paths and a jogging path. Several small islands in the lake are linked by bridges. The south-east end of the lake has a handful of carnival rides for children.
