• Yuyuantan Park

Located in Haidian District, Yuyuantan Park is a good place to appreciate the beauty of cherry blossoms. There are more than 3,000 cherry blossoms of more than 40 varieties. Cherry blossoms of different varieties will reach fluorescence one after another until May.

The western Cherry Blossom Garden, Yinshui Lake Scenic Area in the north (partially built), Zhongshan Isle in the south and the eastern Liuchun (Keeping Spring) Garden are the main scenic spots.

Route: take Bus 323, 374, 8 Special (Inner Ring), Yuntong 102, Yuntong 103 to the west gate of Jade Deep Lake Park.

• Beijing Botanical Garden

If you think it is crowded to admire cherry blossom in Yuyuantan Park, then Beijing Botanical Garden will be a good place. Though cherry blossoms of the garden are not numerous, the sweet smell here is not second to that in Yuyuantan. And there is another big advantage, that is, you can still admire plum blossom, orchid, calceolaria which will bloom in spring. It is the most beautiful season of the Botanical Garden from the late March to early May. Peach flower, flowering plum, winter jasmine, forsythia and tulip orderly bloom there.

Route: take Bus 505, 331, 563, 696, Yuntong 112 and get off at the south gate of Botanical Garden or Wofosi Station.

• Line S2

Reputed “the Train to Spring” by many of its fans, the Line S2 runs from Huangtudian in Beijing’s Changping District to Badaling in Yanqing District. In addition, the Qinglongqiao Railway Station at the foot of the Badaling Great Wall of the line is honored as one of the ten most beautiful railway stations in China.

For those who took the Line S2 train at Huangtudian Station, please take Subway Line 8 or Line 13 to Huoying Station, then exit at G4, the new Line S2 train station is approx. 110m to the southeast. The station can also be reached by other means of transportation.

• Summer Palace

The Summer Palace fully falls into the scenery of spring. Cherry and magnolia flowers burst into bloom competitively and contend in beauty and fascination, welcoming the beginning of spring. Under the sunset, blooming flowers with fragrance only can be seen in Summer Palace during spring.

The Summer Palace is the royal garden constructed by imitating gardens in regions south of the Yangtze River. However, for climate and local conditions of Beijing, it still shows a kind of rugged feature. But sunset can create a kind of warmness for its rugged feature.
