Located at the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains in the west of Yi County, Baoding City, north China's Hebei Province, Mount Langya (Wolf-tooth Mountain) features precipitous peaks which resemble wolf teeth, thus comes the name.

Mount Langya Scenic Area is a national-level forest park as well as a Hebei’s provincial-level patriotic education base known for the story of “five heroes of Mount Langya” (five Communist soldiers fought the Imperial Japanese Army atop Mount Langya during the Second Sino-Japanese War.) It was rated as a national-level forest park in December 2005 and approved as a national AAAA-level scenic spot in April 2008.
