Beijing’s Daxing District plans to complete 22 charity supermarkets' site selection and agreement signing work in 2018.

Currently, it has signed agreements of building 14 charity supermarkets at Xingfeng Subdistrict, Guanyinsi Subdistrict, Weishanzhuang Township and Caiyu Township.

When the charity supermarkets open, the subdistricts and townships will give out three kinds of preferential cards to the residents offering donations, low-income, disabled or needy residents, and the elders aged 65 and above respectively. Residents holding one of those cards can enjoy a discount when shopping at the supermarkets.

The charity supermarkets will act as a station for receiving donations and they will hold a love donation activity every month, which advances the sustainable development of the social donation work.

It is learned that Daxing District hopes to gradually reduce the donation cost and improve the local assistance level by innovating the operating model of charity supermarkets and building a convenient donation service platform, aiming to build the charity supermarkets into a “charity home” with a wide coverage, a large number of beneficiaries and great social influence.
