Le Grenier a Pain, a time-honored bakery with a history of 40 years in France, keeps low profile about opening its branch in Beijing. It features French bread, including the top signature traditional baguette that once won the first prize in Paris Baguette Contest. If you can come early, you may be lucky to have a taste of oven-fresh bread. There are many types of bread in the store. Besides the traditional European bread, it also sells fruit and vegetable tarts and pastries. The hollow puff without filling is also one of its specialties. It has opened 31 ice cream shops around the world, and features ice cream in an iconic goblet. Its first shop in Sanlitun of Beijing attracted a long line of people at the moment they started business. The shop in Hopson One was open on June 1. Its ice cream is always freshly prepared as ordered, and the fruit ingredients are preserved by themselves. It offers totally 5 kinds of flavors and recently brings out a sweet chocolate tiramisu taste. In addition to goblet-contained ice cream, it also sells signature ice cream latte and drinks.

It is a hard-to-get dessert shop in New York, which is known for its unique three-course dessert and praised as a shop that dessert fans all around the world are eager to visit. It is also popular in Shanghai, and the first shop in Beijing locates at China World Mall, a fashionable place to go. Its shop in Beijing offers a thick menu, but with only one page containing 7 desserts in total while others are all wine lists. The desserts mainly comprise puff and cheese cake, and each dessert is carefully matched with a different dish, but the signature three-course dessert and crepe cake are not available. The environment is elegant and there is a 10% charge for service.

Seesaw Coffee

This critically-acclaimed boutique cafe is introduced to Beijing for the first time and attracted many admiring coffee lovers when it was open. It is distinguished for hand-pour and ice-drip. Its Geisha and Blue Mountain are put on short allowance and you need to come early if want to have a taste of them. Each hand-poured coffee is attached with a flavor prompt card. You can also sit in front of the counter and have a chat with its hospitable barista.
