Located in the northeast of Shunyi District, Longwantun Section of Wucai Qianshan National Waterfront Hiking Fitness Trail becomes a colorful world in the golden autumn. There, trees are dressed in charming colors and splendid sceneries are beyond count, making people admire the uncanny workmanship of nature.
Starting at the east of Shanlixinzhuang Village in the west and ending at Dazigou in the east (borders on Mulin Town), the Longwantun Section is 80km long, with the main and access roads of 60km and 20km respectively. The travel route is from Shanlixinzhuang, Baimaoyu, Yueming Gully, Yugou (Mushao Road) to Wutonggu. In particular, Baimaoyu and Yueming Gully boast the most gorgeous scenery of red leaves, and ushers in the ornamental period in late October.
At that time, color-leafed trees dye the hillside red and silently showcase their charm and great masterpiece. Rhus typhina, smoke trees, Shandong maples, gingko trees and ash trees form a world dotted with colorful leaves, enriching the hillside’s attractiveness.
It makes the illusion that you are walking into a stunning world of red color, just like numerous flaming fire clouds from a distance. As cool breeze whispers, all trees are swaying their enchanting dance postures, creating a magnificent scene. Picturesque sceneries of Longwantun Section are pretty intoxicating and appealing to tourists.

Bus route: take tour bus “Shun 5” (with terminal station of Shallow Mountain), and get off at Shanlixinzhuang Station.
