Wulong Gorge Scenic Area, formerly known as Heilongtan Pond (Black Dragon Pond), belongs to the Mesozoic volcanic lava area 140 million years ago. The gorge is about 5 kilometers long and the drop height of water is about 800 meters. The steep cliffs on both sides of the canyon and the strange stones help to form four deep ponds. Thanks to its unique scenery, Wulong Gorge has become a tranquil and scenic tourist destination in Beijing.

Dishuihu Scenic Spot
The waterfall is about 20 meters with roaring sound and smaller upper part, which seems be poured out from a kettle, hence its name “Dishuihu” meaning "water dripping out of a kettle." The alpine stream that flows through all the year is pouring down from the cliffs over tens of meters. The river filled the Guanyin Cave, which reproduces the wonderful landscape of “Water Curtain Cave” of Huaguoshan Mountain (the legendary place of the Monkey King in Journey to the West). There are some Anhui-style buildings on the shore, where the Yanshan Academy stands. With the white wall horse head wall and gray tile, courtyard hall and rooms here is a perfect combination of the natural scenery and modern architecture.
