Former Residence of Li Dazhao

Li Dazhao was a Chinese intellectual who co-founded the Communist Party of China with Chen Duxiu and other early communists in 1921. During his ten-year stay in Beijing, Li Dazhao ever lived in eight places. This Former Residence of Li Dazhao is the one from 1920 to 1924, and also the longest one among these eight places. Here, Li Dazhao has made substantial contribution to disseminating Marxism, founding CPC, forming the United Front, consolidating and strengthening KMT-CPC cooperation and leading the revolutionary movements of North China.

Beijing Lu Xun Museum

Lu Xun was the pen name of Zhou Shuren, a leading figure of modern Chinese literature. Writing in Vernacular Chinese and Classical Chinese, he was a short story writer, editor, translator, literary critic, essayist, poet, and designer. The museum based on the house of him at Gongmenkou Santiao in Fuchengmen Inner Street, namely No. 21 yard. Here, Lu Xun inspired himself to write voluminous works such as Wild Grass, Huagai Collection, Sequel to the Huagai Collection, Tomb, Wandering and Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk. In 1954, the Ministry of Culture approved to build Lu Xun Museum to the east of Lu Xun’s former residence which is an important part of Lu Xun Museum.

Beijing Xuannan Cultural Museum

Beijing Xuannan Cultural Museum focuses on a vivid display of the time-honored history and rich culture of Xuannan area. Inside, there are eight exhibition halls. Notably, the Great Revolutionaries' Footprint Exhibition Hall offers a glimpse into the daily lives and revolutionary exploits of Sun Yat-sen, Chen Duxiu, Li Dazhao, Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other China's revolutionary pioneers who were always at the forefront of the time and dedicated themselves to exploring a road to national rejuvenation.
