The Fragrant Hills Park is a famous large park featuring the presence of royal gardens. Inside, the Vajrasana Pagoda at Biyun Temple was ever used as a temporary final rest place of Mr. Sun Yat-sen; Shuangqing Villa was the earliest living and office building of Mao Zedong and the CPC Central Committee in Beijing since they were headquartered in this city. In mid-October and early November every year, Fragrant Hills Red Leaves Festival is held. And this period is a good time to tour Fragrant Hills and enjoy the red leaves scenery here.
