Tianjin, as a city built along Haihe River, is rich in water resource and ferries. If Haihe River is a necklace, bridges on it are bright gems. Jintang Bridge, built in Guangxu 32nd Year of Qing Dynasty (1906), is one of the existing large-scale iron bridge of Tianjin built in early time.
In 2005, Jintang Bridge was completed on improvement that the bridge floor is paved with green stalinite; nearby water is equipped with music fountain; large-scale sculptures in memory of the liberation of Tianjin are also built on both heads.
