Built in 1902, Dong Xing Lou Restaurant is most renowned of the Top Eight restaurants in Beijing. The list of Top Eight restaurants ranked in the Qing Dynasty by serving Beijing-school Shandong cuisine. Although Dong Xing Lou now is not as popular as it was in the late Qing Dynasty, it keeps some features of old Beijing with several branches.
