Anguli Grassland

The Anguli grassland, 18km east of the Dongshang Line in Zhangbei County, Hebei Province, is a bright pearl embedded in the "Zhangbei Bashang Grassland".

The scenic area is not only safe, comfortable, and clean, which have completely met the demands of city people, but also have integrated rich local and ethnic style, making it a large-scale scenic spot for grassland tourism in the country. The climate of the boundless Anguli grassland with an area of 230,000 mu is rather pleasant. The maximum temperature during the day is generally no more than 25 °C. The green grass outspreads as far as boundless sky, many kinds of wild flowers are in full bloom, and numerous birds fly in the sky, chirping and warbling. By the way, the Angulinao Lake in the scenic area, with open water, rich aquatic plants, and numerous geese, is the largest inland plateau lakes in North China. Its natural scenery is very unique since it has always been the place of royal families for sacrifice ceremony, hunting and summer vacations from Liao and Jin dynasties to the Yuan Dynasty.

Nanni River Aerial Grassland

Located in Xiao'ertai Township, Zhangbei County with an altitude of above 1600 meters, it is one of the representative landscapes of “lawn with numerous flowers”. In summer and autumn, the climate here is very cool and beautiful flowers and lush grass could be found everywhere on the grassland. Butterflies and bees are busy dancing around flowers, and you can even feel the gentle breeze caresses your cheeks.

The reason why it is called “aerial grassland” is that the altitude of the place is above 1,600 meters, where all kinds of primitive vegetation, such as cold and dry tolerant, and perennial herbs, are well preserved. Along the Grassland Road, you will see the grassland is interspersed with flowers of various colors, such as wild poppies, alfalfas, potato flowers, sunflowers and rape flowers, swaying in the wind, making you feel you are in a fairy tale world.

In summer and autumn, the climate here is very cool and beautiful flowers and lush grass could be found everywhere on the grassland. And when winter is coming, this place will become a world of ice and snow, which is quite enchanting and magnificent. Here you can witness the blooming of the plants on the original dam dating back thousands of years, like traveling in a time machine.
