Walking on the fine sand and enjoy the sea view. The morning breeze sways over your face and the smell of ocean releases your heart. Snow-white waves roll up from the sea to the sky and march towards the shore overwhelmingly. Beijing is not close to the sea, but it takes tourists only a few hours to the nearby coastal cities by car to feel the beauty of the sea.

▶ Qianshui Bay Baths in Xindaihe (Qianshui Bay Baths) Resort

Xindaihe Resort, the main brand of Laoting's tourism, is situated on Dawanggang Island, being 35km to the southeast of Laoting County and 10km to the southeast of Jingtang Port. It has a unique flavor characterized by clean water and fine sand. The resort has harmonious scenery of the sun, the sea and the beach. In the past two years, it has become a new place for Beijing and Tianjin self-driving amateurs and families to spend summer holidays and relax themselves. In the resort, there are a dozen of hotels and farmhouses of different sizes and levels, catering to different tourists.

▶ Xiangyun Bay

Name: 祥云湾

Xiangyun Bay is a new resort situated 2km from Xindaihe Resort (currently free admission). Visitors can enjoy the sun, the beach, and the breeze, or try something new like seaside hot spring. Xiangyun Bay Resort is quite new and therefore is not well known. The tourists here are obviously less than those on surrounding beaches.

The seawater is very clean. When tide rises and falls, and when the wind is strong, you can clearly see layers of white waves surging up to the beach.

Walk on the beach for a while with bare feet, and when you stop, your feet will be warm naturally, just as comfortable as you've had feet massage. The sand on the beach is very soft, smooth and clean. It goes without saying that children love to play sand, even adults are willing to temporarily overindulge on the beach here. You can fully enjoy yourself with whatever entertainment activities on the sand that you can think of, including beach volleyball, football, sand bath, and sand burying.

Trip to Three Islands: Bodhi Island, Yuetuo Island and Jinsha Island are collectively called as "the Three Islands in Laoting". Tourist may go to the nearby islands by boat if they are enough with the seaside entertainment and have the time. The tourism projects and landscapes of the Three Islands are more "three-dimensional", covering beach baths, reeds, wetlands, birds, animals, temples, shellfish picking, and fish hunting. The trip to the Three Islands will undoubtedly be a plus for your tour of Laoting. This advantage is also unmatched by the old coastal resorts.

Food: Laoting satisfies foodies to the greatest extent with its seafood, including meretrix, cyclina sinensis, mactra veneriforimis, anadara subcrenata, razor clams, and sea crabs. Laoting also serves the special dish of "stewed octopus and pork".

▶ Zhimiao Bay Coast

Zhimiao Bay is located in Wanjia Village, Suizhong County. It is a small pier with natural features. It is beautiful and uncontaminated, with simple folkway. The beach there is uncrowded and quiet, suitable for swimming. The nearby harbor has shallow and clear water, suitable for catching crabs. Besides having fun in the water, you can enjoy a delicious seafood dinner. Far from the city, the place is extraordinarily quiet, which brings tourists a share of serenity. When walking into the natural beach, you will feel far away from the noise of the city and find tranquillity in yourself.

You can stroll on the natural harbor, swim and play with water at the rocky seashore, catch crabs barefoot on the sandy shoal, or stay in a yard with mature corns and soybeans and indulge in conchs, mantis shrimps and other seafood.

Entertainment: Serenity is the very thing expected by people visiting Zhimao Bay. In this small and quiet fishing village, the best things to do are lying on the beach and watching the sea quietly, looking at the sunset over the sea at dusk, and listening to the sound of the surf accompanied by a bonfire at night.

Xingcheng Beach Resort is the only resort in China that integrates mountain, sea, island, spring and city. There are beautiful seashore known as the "Second Beidaihe", the magnificent Shoushan Mountain, Chrysanthemum Island with spectacular sea view, hot springs providing a casual vacation atmosphere, and a well-preserved ancient city of Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Xingcheng Beach Resort is a national 4A-level scenic spot. It is very similar to Seattle in the United States and Qingdao in China. The 14km bathing beach consists of the Xinghai Bay, the Gangkou Bay, the Bingjia Bay, and the Laolong Bay, which are the first, the second, the third and the fourth bathing beaches. It is the largest natural bathing beach in northern China. There is no submerged reef in the beaches, and the sand on the shore is soft and white, crystal clear as jade. Xingcheng Beach is characterized not only by beautiful scenery and pleasant climate, but by more than 20 human landscapes and cultural relics. On the shore, there are pavilions and balconies shaded by precipitous reefs and lush trees, creating a natural and interesting picture where there are such landscapes as the "Three Reefs". There are steep cliffs covered by lush vegetation along the shore of the beach resort. You can watch seagulls play over the water, look at the fishing sails and enjoy the charm of the sea. Xingcheng's bathing beaches are most fascinating. The First Bathing Beach, namely the Xinghai Bay, is especially beautiful. When you step into the First Bathing Beach, you will see a four-column three-door two-story single-eaves hip-roof entrance. On the memorial archway, there are eight Chinese characters written by Fan Zeng, a famous calligrapher and painter in Maoming. These characters literally mean "turbulent waves surging up" and "ancient city in sight". Walk by the archway, and you will step into the picturesque Xinghai Bay.

Food: The Xingcheng sea area is rich in fishes, shrimps, crabs, shellfishes, and jellyfishes of more than 60 species. Among them, fresh fish, prawns, jellyfish, short necked clams, and dried jellyfish are the best seafood that have a long-standing reputation and are the best sellers at home and abroad.
