Bolitai Village in Pinggu

Bolitai Village is located in the southeast of LuoyingTownship, Pinggu District and was listed as one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in Beijing” in 2008. The Bolitai Village was built on a large flat land under the Great Wall, surrounded by robust and thick silver dollar plants. Quartz mine, which is used to make glass, can also be found in the mountains south of the village, hence its name “Bolitai” (“Glass Platform”).
