Lognqingxia Gorge is a national 4A level scenic spot and one of the key scenic areas of Beijing city. It is called “Small Three Gorges” and “Small Lijiang River” by visitors. It is Longqing Ravine that not only contains the gentleness and gracefulness of the southern scenery, but also has the power and loftiness of the northern scenery.
The water at the gorge is like green ribbon and the mountain acts as an emerald hairpin. If you visit Longqing Ravine by boat, with a gentle breeze blowing against your face at Lijiang River, you will completely immerse yourself into a picturesque scene. The different mountains are winding and rugged, named in accordance with their shape and the implied meaning of the shape. More than 30 scenic spots are created by nature’s vicissitude and super craftsmanship. Since it opened in 1984, Longqing Ravine has received over ten million visitors from home and abroad; the average total visitors per day is 18,000.
