Shichahai

Shichahai consists of three lakes: Qianhai, Xihai and Houhai, with large beautiful lakes as well as a historical street block, dotted with a number of residences of historical figures, prince palaces and other historical sites as well as food stalls selling local delicacies. The Houhai Bar Street is a center of night life in Beijing.

Guangji Temple

Guangji Temple is located in No.25 Fuchengmennei Street, Xicheng District, Beijing. First built in the late Song Dynasty, it retains the three-way layout of the Ming dynasty. Wealth of precious cultural relics are stored here. It is also the headquarters of the Buddhist Association of China. A huge finger painting on the back wall of the Great Buddha's Hall is the largest mural depicting the scene of the Buddha preaching in China.

Rendinghu Park

Rendinghu Park is a European-style garden with mainly modern gardening. The south part of the park creates a milieu of European geometric garden design with meadows, waterscape, sculptures, pergolas and landscape walls. The sparse forest and fountain waterscape are captivating. European-style sculptures stud the space. The scenic area of world gardening history offers a glimpse to the world of Western gardening.

Fujing Cultural Street

The 3.8-km-long Fujing Cultural Street runs from Fucheng Gate in the west to Jingshan West Street in the east. It is a major historical and cultural street block and one of the 25 Cultural Areas under the municipal protection. Though unknown to many, it is “the most beautiful street in the world” for Lao She, with cultural sites like the Temple of Ancient Monarchs, the Miaoying Temple (also known as the White Stupa Temple), Guangji Temple, Lu Xun Museum and Geological Museum of China, etc. Its historical gravitas is simply awesome.

Yandai Xiejie

The street, less than 300 meters long, is the oldest commercial street in Beijing, where smoking paraphernalia like long-stemmed Chinese pipes and water tobacco pipes, curios, paintings and calligraphy, painting mounting services, stationery, local delicacies and other services are offered. The architectural style of shops along the street is simple, unadorned, and characteristic of buildings in the north part of Beijing. It is a reputed cultural street in north Beijing where many cultural figures used to stroll.
