Taihang Water Town, Lianxiang

Located at Yixian County, Baoding of Hebei Province, Taihang Water Town is a 4A (the top being 5A) level scenic spot. It provides visitors with a unique experience of folk culture of the Taihang Mountains. Well-preserved old theaters are found here. Handicrafts of clay sculptures and sugar paintings decorate the street.

Hongya Ancient Town

Near Banshan Village of Pingshan County, Hebei Province, Hongya ancient town has a reputation of being the “largest museum of Taihang folk architecture” in North China, with buildings in the styles from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Hongya Valley in the town is rich in environmental resources, with summer and autumn as its peak seasons.

Yidao Town, Tumen Gate

Opened in November 2017, the small town of Yidao at Tumen Gate, Hebei Province has numerous historic relics due to its strategic importance since the Qin Dynasty (221BC-2017BC). The whole tourism project was divided into three stages, with the first stage mainly on restoring the prosperity of ancient Tumen Gate, including the Luhan Pier. Some traditional fashion gift shops and special local foods can be found in the town.
