On April 20, the 17th Shichahai Culture and Tourism Festival kicked off at the Di’anmen Department Store in Beijing’s Xicheng District. The festival, themed “Viewing the Ancient Imperial Capital and Tasting the Beijing Culture”, will last for nearly 4 months, until the end of July.

The spotlights are listed as follows:

• Awarded Study Tour in Xicheng Museums

Cooperated with Beijing Xicheng Culture Commission, the State Education Commission, and professional institutions like Cassa Touristic, the study tour has carefully selected small and mini museums in the district, and developed an in-depth cultural experiencing project of the museums, targeting at primary and secondary school students.

• Red Tourism in Xicheng District

Through digging out the revolutionary elements of 9 red tourism spots in Xicheng district, attractive red tourism routes as well as revolutionary stories have been well-prepared for tourists.

• Xicheng Tourism Photography Exhibition

Tourists can spread the unique charm and flavor of Xicheng though photography.

• Convenience Services for Xicheng Tourism

It includes activities such as the Tour Guide Voluntary Service Week, Bringing Tourism Services into Communities, Free Tourist Buses, etc.
