Mount Taishan
Mount Taishan has tall and majestic mountains with picturesque landscape. In Chinese ancient myths and legends, it was changed from the head of Pan Gu (the creator of the universe in Chinese mythology) after he died. According to the Jijie (A Gathered and Explained Collection) for Records of the Historian, "The ancients thought that Mount Tai was the highest, so the emperors should sacrifice to heaven and earth on Mount Tai for the reasonable and divine powers of kings". The ancients also described it as "Mount Taishan is grand and magnificent, and better than Mount Hua, South Mount Heng, Mount Song and North Hengshan Mountain, which is the top of China's Five Mountains". Chinese traditional culture also thinks that the east is the place where everything alternates and grows in springs; therefore, Mount Taishan that is located at the east has the reputation of "The most respected one in Five Mountains" and "Paragon of Mount Tai". It is also honored as "The First in World Famous Mountains" because of tremendous momentum.
