About

In 2011, LIAO Junbo takes office as secretary of the county party Committee of Zhenghe. After over two months of research in the countryside, he decides to lower his social status and act as a woodcutter to find a way to build “a flexible mechanism and superior industries so as to make the people rich and the ecological environment beautiful” for the sake of the 230,000 people’s glory and dreams. He maintains a balance between speed and efficiency with wisdom, and persists with faith despite dealing with troubles and doubts, finally holding the cadres and people together like strands of a rope, making Zhenghe County one of Fujian Province’s top ten economically developed counties within a short time. Unfortunately, the “woodcutter”, who governs for the people, falls on the way to the place of firewood, and local residents feel so very sad...
