Fuling Bing is a pancake-like snack made from flour, sugar, and tuckahoe, rolled around nuts, honey, and other ingredients. As a local specialty in Beijing, it was originally served especially for royal family in the end of Qing Dynasty. According to the legend, it was only for Empress Dowager Cixi, then introduced to the ordinary people, and has become a popular snack in Beijing since then. Fuling Bing tastes sweet, palatable, refreshing and so tender that it can just melt into the mouth. It is only a snack, but it can activate your appetite and also be regarded as a protective food.
