Shidu Taiping Monkey Mountain Ecological Scenic Spot

Shidu Taiping Monkey Mountain is nestled in Xitaiping Village within the Shidu Scenic Area. Surrounded by mountains and featuring precipitous topography, murmuring springs and dense vegetables, this attraction is home to more than 100 wild macaques, who are so adorable and vivacious that they make tourists fascinated. In this region, the traditional stone transport by hinny has been well preserved and passed so far, singing the praises of our traditional culture. It is said that fossils were found in stones here more than once.

Grand Canal Forest Park

The Grand Canal Forest Park straddles both sides of the north Grand Canal and covers an area of 10,700mu. Tongzhou section of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, as if a silver chain that strings together 18 attractions, amongst them Taoliu Ying’an, Yuqiao Chunse, Chapeng Huaxi, Huangmu Gudu, Changhong Huayu etc., extending to about 10km. Featuring “one river, two riversides, six scenic spots and eighteen attractions”, the park is publicly recognized as an ideal place for waterfront recreation, outdoor camping and cultural entertainment, and dubbed a natural oxygen bar on the canal’s side, that is exclusive to Tongzhou and even in Beijing.

After the restoration of wetlands themed by reed, lotus and other plants, a typical swamp community has taken shape in Beijing. Here, tourists can have fun by picking and angling besides sightseeing.
