Scenic spots nearby the hotel include the Palace Museum, the Temple of Earth, the Lama Temple, Beihai Park, Jingshan Park and Shichahai area.

Guests can eat tasty cuisines from different regions of the country, such as imperial court Cuisine, Sichuan cuisine and Cantonese cuisine, at its Zuiyangxuan multifunctional Hall, Fusongzhai Chinese dining room, or Yuhuayuan tea house.

The hotel is pride of its charm with beautiful buildings, passageways and (bamboo) gardens. There are waterfalls and interesting signage. Within the hotel, the continuous pavilions, the zigzagging galleries, the luxuriant bamboo grove, the rockeries and waterfalls form a quiet and elegant landscape.

In spring, the blooming flowers make the hotel a fragrant world. From summer to autumn, with the fancy lanterns hung underneath the eaves, the green bamboos are waving in the breeze. In winter, the green pines stand in the snowfield, which indicates the unyielding image. In the hotel, there are deluxe suites and standard rooms, and one of the suites is decorated in the style of Ming Dynasty.
