Beijing boasts lots of old churches and most of them have mass schedule on Christmas.
Catholic Church at Dongjiaomingxiang
Catholic Church at Dongjiaomingxiang, also named Saint Earl Church, is one that was built comparatively late in Beijing. It was finished and opened to the public in 1904. Although its scale is small, the style of it is very special, exquisite and nicely-chosen. On the east and west walls decorate colorful flower glasses imported from abroad. The top of the Church is in slope-like shape covered with gray roll glazed tiles. Arch rings are applied to support for top, which increases the height. Being a classic Gothic church, there are 3 rooms running east-west and 14 rooms running south-north, in which there are columns and the floor are made of tiles with flower figures. Since its establishment for near 100 years, it has never been destroyed by any natural or man-made disasters and conserved comparatively well.

Wangfujing Church
Eastern Church, also named Wangfujing Catholic Church, is located on the eastern side of central Wangfujing Street in Beijing. Built in 1904 in Roman style, it is one of the best-preserved religious sites in Beijing. Trees and grass were planted there and various lighting facilities were installed to compliment the gorgeous building at night. Side windows are carved with colorful glass-made figures that can light the whole space as sunshine pierces through. December 24

North Church & Southern Cathedral
Church of Xishiku, also called the North Church, was built in early Qing dynasty and named the Church of Redeemer at that time. It covers an area of around 2,200 square meters with each flanked with a Chinese quad-angle temple of yellow glazed tiles, in which stands a stone stele with Qian Long’s handwriting. Such combination of East and West is so fantastic. It is also the only one church in Beijing has sanity’s sculptures on each side of the main entrance. The church has 300 giant pillars to support the gold arch. 80 windows made of colorful glass will remind you of Notre Dame in Paris.

Xuanwumen Church
Located in West Qianmen in Xicheng District, Beijing, also known as the Southern Cathedral, Xuanwumen Church is the oldest Catholic Church in Beijing. Facing to the south, the main part of the church is covered with tiles. The front building elevation is of classic baroque style with three parallel tile-carving arches, luxurious and solemn. The indoor space utilizes doom design, on which each side is decorated with rosy shaped windows, presenting a picture of solemn and serene. Masses conducted by more than 10 Chinese Fathers attract an increasing number of Chinese and foreign worshipers every Sunday, and the church is always crowded during Easter and Christmas.
