Herds of Sheep Outside Xibianmen

Also known as “Herds of White Sheep Outside Xibianmen”, the scenery refers to the dozens of white stones scattered on the grassland  on the left side of the moat outside Xibianmen.

These three-to-four-chi-long stones are of different shapes and sizes. Looking from afar, you will find these stones look like white sheep. Some are standing, some lying, and some browsing grass. There are many stories around these white stones. As the most representative one goes, Lu Ban, a master architect, transformed stones into sheep, and herded these sheep to Beijing and intended to use them as building materials. Because of delay, these stones were transformed into stones again before they arrived at the destination.
