2017 "A Taste of Beijing" Food Map for Travelers was released at an event held at Longwan Camping Park in Beijing's Yanqing District on Nov. 28, 2017.
Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development Wang Yue, Deputy Mayor of Yanqing District Dong Liang, and tourists from Beijing International Youth Tourism Festival and other representatives of catering industry in Beijing suburb attended the event.
The event was sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development and organized by Beijing Tourism Industry Association Catering Branch.
With HTML5 digital map, the 2017 'A Taste of Beijing' Food Map for Travelers vividly shows the 60 most popular restaurants in Beijing. The webpage will also be launched on other popular platforms such as Chinese leading restaurant review platform Dazhong Dianping's app and popular Chinese social media app WeChat, providing accurate food recommendations for tourists in Beijing.
These restaurants cover 6 categories: Beijing’s time-honored brand, suburb food, Chinese snack, international cuisine, Muslim cuisine and fashionable food.
Beijing’s time-honored brand includes restaurants such as Donglaishun (Hua Longjie Branch), Meiweizhai and Dongxinglou (Dongzhimen Branch).
Suburb food includes restaurants such as Tieci (True Friend) Instant-boiled Mutton, Xiehou Chinese Sauerkraut Fish (Yizhuang Branch), and Heqi Shipeng.
Chinese snack includes restaurants such as Wuchangnian Chaoshan Casserole Porridge (Shengxibahao Branch), Hezhiye Coarse Grains Pancake (Hualian Shopping Mall Gongyi Xiqiao Branch), and Chenji Dehuiyuan Shaomai (a kind of Chinese dumpling).
International cuisine includes restaurants such as Des Link, Benge Sushi (Yayuncun Branch), and Mix Garden Salad (Jiuxianqiao Branch).
Muslim cuisine includes restaurants such as Laoyangjia, Ayidianchang Yunnan Cuisine, and Dude 5 Barbecue.
Fashionable food includes restaurants such as Shine Hotpot (Flagship Store), Jinqilin Seafood Buffet and Deep Red.
An activity themed Special Food Tasting to promote the suburb Beijing tourism was also held during the event.
