Western Hills National Forest Park is the national forest park closest to downtown Beijing. There stands a 25-meter-high waterfall at its main gate with a flower stream meandering through. Flanked by oddly shaped stones, this stream gurgles down along the mountain. With tranquil forest interspersed with exuberant flowers and shrubs lying boundless on its either side, this park is steeped in air with rich negative oxygen ions, leading to its reputation as one of a few mountain and water forest parks in Beijing. And there is no shortage of red leaves sightseeing points, no matter you want to appreciate them in close distance or overlook them from afar.
