The Wild Duck Lake National Wetland Park is located in Beijing’s Yanqing District, with a total area of 6,873 hectares including 3,939 hectares of wetland. It’s the only wetland bird nature reserve in Beijing.
Hailed as the “oxygen bar” of Beijing suburb, the Wild Duck Lake National Wetland Park sits on an open land and is covered by a large span of reeds. Reeds in late autumn have a unique beauty. They ripple in the autumn breeze and shake like feathers. It’s almost like a scene out of a poem or a painting.
