A place where we can go on a date, where we can be alone and where we can have a chat, these coffeehouses in Beijing are free from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis.

Peking Coffee
Peking Coffee sits on Nanluoguxiang and the northwest of the Central Academy of Drama’s Experimental Theater, connects with the Peking International Youth Hostel. Most people who walk by Peking Coffee would think it is a flower shop. You can’t blame them for that because it is indeed decorated with fresh and blooming flowers both outside and inside. Despite the myriad of colors, they look unbelievably harmonious together and smell so good.
You can come here either alone or with your friends, order a cup of coffee, a pot of scented tea and some cakes, sit on a sofa by the window and watch people on the go in the gentle and faint yellow lights and elegant fragrance of flowers. It seems that you are with the world while being separated from the bustling crowds. Nothing is more comfortable than this.

Sweet&Bitter
There are two branches in Beijing. The one on Old Gulou Street has already become a paradise for arty people and photography enthusiasts, which means it is no longer suitable for just sitting down and having a cup of coffee quietly. This one on Jiaodaokou Street is much better. It is a two-story building located at the corner of a Hutong. The side facing the street is entirely decorated with large windows.
The white walls, burlywood tables and chairs, and warm yellow lights there are basically everything hipsters need. Sweet&Bitter is totally different from the style you would see in many other coffeehouses. In addition to places for customers to sit, it is also equipped with book shelves and green plants. With bright natural light and a cozy environment, it is a haven for quietpeople. Sweet&Bitter offers a variety of drinks and desserts.
