Situated at the border line of Beijing, Hebei Province and Inner Mongolia, the Bashang Grassland features wonderful landscape which once was an imperial hunting ground in the Qing Dynasty. The grassland is so large that it can be divided into three parts including the Mulan Hunting Ground, Fengning Grassland and Zhangbei Grassland comprising many tourist attractions.
Fengning Grassland is the closest, about 285 km from Beijing downtown. The weather is cool in summer and autumn. In addition, the sunlight is strong.
It is ideal to reserve two days and a night for this trip. The route is “Beijing – Chongli County – Cao Yuan Tian Lu – Fengning County – Beijing”. Horse riding costs 50 – 60 RMB per hour.
