In celebration of autumn, Sofitel Wanda Beijing has invited the leading Shandong Cuisine master chef, Ms. Cui Yufen to offer guests with the healthiest Shandong cuisine at its Quyan Chinese Restaurant in September. Hailed as one of the creators of New Shandong Cuisine, Chef Cui combines both Western and Chinese elements into her cooking masterpieces. This time, guests will be served the most authentic Shandong dishes by Chef Cui, such as “Braised Sea Cucumber with Soy Sauce”, “Steamed King Crab” and “Double-boiled Chicken broth Tofu”.

Shandong Cuisine, more commonly known in Chinese as Lu cuisine, is one of the Eight Culinary Traditions of Chinese cuisine and one of the Four Great Traditions originated from Northern China. Shandong cuisine is famous for its wide selection of ingredients and the use of different cooking methods. The raw materials are mainly domestic animals and birds, seafood and vegetables.
