Beijing Subway

For most individual tourists, metro or subway is an irreplaceable option in the course of travel. Hence, we’d like to introduce you the Beijing subway.

Beijing, as the capital city, boasts well-developed subway network. As you can see, there are 19 subway lines network in Beijing covering the whole city. It can deliver you to any corner in Beijing. Line 1 is the first subway line in Beijing built in 1971. It passes through Tian’anmen Square, the sign and the center of Beijing.

Metered fares are used for the city’s rail transit (except the rail transit to airport). For passengers traveling within 6 kilometers, the ticket price will be RMB3; 6 to 12 km (including 12 km) costs 4 yuan, and 12 to 32 km (including 32 km) costs 6 yuan; for traveling mileage exceeds 32 kilometers, it will cost 1 yuan for each 20 km. There is no ceiling for the fare.

To insure the safety of the large population in Beijing, the subway executes strict rules of safety inspection.
