The 5th Beijing Culture Expo kicks off on August 10 at National Agriculture Exhibition Center. Themed with art and dream, the expo mainly comprises three units including Cultural and Creative Works Area, Elaborate Works Area and Activity Area. The expo will go through August 14. The Elaborate Works Area displays art and calligraphy works, exquisite photography, Peking Opera and other opera art while the Cultural and Creative Works Area showcases intangible heritage art works in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and art works provided by many associations in Beijing such as Beijing Association of Four Treasures of Chinese Study, Beijing Fan Art Association etc. In addition, a special pavilion to exhibit art in Tianjin and Hebei region has been established.

In order to attract more people, the expo also sets up parallel sessions. Visitors can watch performances at 11 theaters such as Laoshe Teahouse, National Theatre of China etc. Besides, process of making art works can be learned at over 50 studios. The events in parallel sessions will end on September 30. It’s an opportunity to learn more about Chinese culture that you can’t miss.
