Bei Zhuang Town is located in the northeast of Miyun County, 110 km away from the city. It has a river flowing continuously throughout the year, the water is well known for being very fresh and clean.

The town has 11 administrative villages which include 41 villages with a population of 8867 people. It is surrounded by mountains and is located close to the river valley, so it has a beautiful environment with spectacular scenery. Ganyugou Village of Bei Zhuang Town was awarded "The Most Beautiful Village in China" in 2014. The Lohas Village, in Bei Zhuang Town, is a good model of Beijing's innovation of its rural areas.
