More than a hundred years ago, there was a fried dough twist store named “Gui Fa Xiang". In order to make fried dough twist unique, the owner, Liu Laoba, filled assorted crispy stuffing into the two dough stripes. The ingredients include sweet-scented osmanthus, sesame, green and red slice and rock candy. After repeated experiment and practice, Liu finally made assorted stuffed fried dough twist which is featured by golden, sweet and crispy. From onwards then, “Gui Fa Xiang” has become popular in the market. Tourists from home and abroad always buy boxes of fried dough twist for their relatives and friends.
