Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium (Beijing)

Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium is qualified for various competitions at home, and can hold international contests. The badminton stadium of Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium used to hold handball competitions, boxing matches, the World Wushu Championships, basketball matches and others. National Stadium, Bird's Nest

National Stadium (Bird's Nest), located in the south of central area of Beijing Olympic Park, is the major stadium for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. The project covers a total area of 21 hectares with around 91,000 seats for audiences inside. Bird's Nest has held the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games, the track and field events and the football finals. After the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, it becomes a large and professional place for Beijing citizens to participate in sports and enjoy the sports and recreation, and also is recognized as the landmark among sports buildings and the Olympic legacy.

In April 2014, according to the construction time, scale, artistry and influence, a shortlist of 20 buildings was chosen from a pool of over 1,000 landmark buildings by the review committee of “China's Top 10 Contemporary Architectures”. And the 10 top dogs were finally selected. National Stadium, Bird's Nest, is on the shortlist.
