Shichahai

There goes a saying that Shichahai came first and then Beijing. In Yuan dynasty, it is the starting point of north section of the North-South Grand Canal. Wide water expanse is surrounded by palaces of princes, dense gardens and numerous temples, comprising a picturesque scenery. Since Qing dynasty, Shichahai has been a popular summer resort. When night falls, boats on lights and tweedles offer you a relaxing picture. In this scenic spot, there are many classic Hutongs and ancient-style courtyards, such as Daiinsi Hutong and Xiaojinsi Hutong in Jinsitao, Nanguangfang and Beiguanfang Hutong, Yaer Hutong at northern end of Houhai, Baimixie Street as well as Yandaixie Street.

Sanlitun Bar Street

Sanlitun Bar Street, also named Salitun, is a bar street famous for its numerous bars and features. Sanlitun closes to the Second Embassy District.
