Yudu Mountain is located in northwest Beijing's mountain natural scenic area of Yanqing County, extending over 100 square kilometers. This area is situated in remote mountains. No.1 Yudu Mountain Area
Yudu Mountain is a hill encircled by a meandering stream, at 860 meters above sea level. The mountain slopes are clothed with rich and varied vegetation. The stream flows freely all the year round even in the hard winter, and various flowers are continuously blooming in spring, summer and autumn.
The most special things at Yudu Mountain are the two ancient Chinese pines. One standing at the gate of the mountain peak is named welcoming pine, another standing on the south cliff is named goodbye pine.
No.2 Northwest Ditch and Southwest Ditch
Those two ditches are formed by the river erosion, so streams running there are flickering. They are always running between overground and underground. It is worth mentioning that there is a bare rock in the Northwest Ditch, where the valley is narrow and slopes are steep. On the bottom of the rock, there is a clear swag, which offers a good picnic place for visitors.
No.3 Scenic spots worth visiting at south of Lujia River
Xiaogu Mountain: At the east of Gaojiahe Village, there is another hill encircled by a meandering stream, which was formed by the erosion of the river; it stands proud like a mighty tower of rock.
Teapot Mountain: The name of the mountain comes from its shape, which looks like a teapot from a distance.
No.4 Wulipo
There are four attractions in this area: Beijing military sub-district headquarters' site, Crystal Rock Hill, Cloves Ditch and Erlong Mountain.
The Crystal Rock Hill is located in the south of Wulipo. The colorful crystal rock was formed as a result of high temperature and high pressure.
Cloves Ditch lies on the southeast of Wulipo. Here a large number of cloves grow. When the blooming season arrives, the rich fragrance gladdens the heart and refreshes the mind.
Erlong Mountain is situated in the South of Wulipo. In fact, the mountain is made up of two separate peaks, which stand like two dragons.
No.5 From Wulipo to Sancha River Valley
There is a limestone valley from Wulipo to Sancha River Valley. The river of Wulipo flows along the limestone valley and finally goes into Longmen Gorge. Visitors can travel along the river to admire the peak cluster and stone cone.
