Views Restaurant, nestled on the 21st floor of the Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, Beijing, features a beautiful space with a fantastic panoramic view of Yanqi Lake and the surrounding Mutianyu Mountains.

The restaurant is based on a lifestyle concept that showcases authentic Huairou district delicacies and offers an exclusive local culinary tour.

Located 60 kilometers north of Beijing's city center, next to the picturesque Yanqi Lake and featuring breathtaking views of the Yan Mountain and the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, Beijing & Yanqi Island is Kempinski's largest property in China. It is managed by Kempinski and owned by the State-owned Beijing Enterprise Group.

If guests want to see the sights, visit the famous landmarks, take pictures and have a memorable food experience,  choosing culinary tourism is one of the best ways to experience culture through food - local food, local stories and local people.

Finding authentic food does not always translate into finding local farmer's market restaurants. Views Restaurant offers guests a farm-to-table dining experience at a very reasonable rate.

The menu showcases the freshest ingredients, and all the dishes are made in-house. The restaurant also features a selection of cold dishes, such as marinated sesame bean curd, Huairou salad with coriander, and deep-fried Sichuan peppercorn buds. As for the main dishes, besides grilled Huairou trout with a traditional spice blend, the menu is comprised of an array of choices, ranging from braised pork belly served with chestnut, braised organic eggplant with Chinese cake and fried eggs with leeks, to stir-fried cauliflower with chili. To satisfy a sweet tooth, guests can finish their meal with delightful desserts such as Huairou chestnut cake, Huairou hawthorn jelly or a Huairou local walnut tart.

If guests have more than a day to spare, they are invited to go on a culinary voyage. It is a delicious and entertaining way to learn about an area, and it is a chance to visit a variety of locally-owned farms in one day. Sunrise Kempinski, Beijing takes pride in going off the beaten path and serving dishes that tell the story of Huairou. Together with the culinary team, guests have the chance to visit the local farms that deliver daily nutritious ingredients to the hotel, from fresh trout to garden-fresh fruits and vegetables. Meanwhile, the chef will treat guests to a delicious picnic.

"We are wholeheartedly committed to providing perfection for our guests at every moment and in every way," said Brice Péan, the general manager of Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, Beijing & Yanqi Island. "At Sunrise Kempinski, we are each personally responsible for creating rich and meaningful experiences for our guests."
