This Shanghai chain popular for sandwiches, salads and desserts has arrived in Beijing. Expect great breads, huge salads and a comfortable environment that's suitable for meetings and casual meals.

Salads are immense, although the dressings are too thick to pour. The Wagas salad comes with green beans, lentils and roasted pumpkin, but we were more excited by the chicken, mango and avocado salad, topped with creamy cheese and honey mustard dressing.

The zucchini carrot cake is great if you’re looking for a dessert that’s not too sweet. Poppy seeds add a pleasurable texture, and Wagas nails the cream cheese frosting. But the lemon tarts aren’t as tasty as Comptoirs de France’s.
