Memorial Museum of Guo Shoujing is located in No.60 Deshengmen West Street in Xicheng District, the Huitong Temple north of Xihai. Huitong Temple was built in Emperor Yongle of Ming Dynasty, formerly named Fahua Temple, also named Zhenshui Guanyin Nunnery. It was rebuilt in 26th Year of Qianlong, renamed Huitong Temple and set up a monument.

The memorial hall has three halls, displaying the achievements of Guo Shoujing, the astronomer and scientist on water conservancy of Yuan Dynasty in China. Guo Shoujing took charge of the making of over ten astronomical instruments, such as the abridged armilla, yangyi, gaobiao, etc. These achievements are made 300 years earlier than that of Europe.

Guo Shoujing's major achievements are in water conservancy. He went around half of China and harnessed over a hundred rivers and lakes. He played a leading role in Dadu water conservance, taking charge of the development of Baifuyan and Huihe River as the water resource of Dadu, which promoted the economic development of Yuan Dadu.
