In winter the best sport for one to enjoy is nothing better than taking a walk in the sun. Winter means coldness and the sun just drives the cold away and brings you warmth.
You may think one had better stay at home to avoid unnecessary touch with the cold air and sometimes the air may not be healthy enough for your lungs. That’s right, but one should do some sport to make the body healthier and stronger against unknown attackers. And I hold one view that it is better to take a walk outside your living house or workplace if the sun shines.
Although the air is bitterly cold, the sun shines, which brings some warmth to the earth. Wearing your overcoat walking downstairs to the grass field or the park near you, you can see a blue sky overhead, lots of leafless trees extending their arms to heaven to ask for something and one or two ladies strolling on the path inside the park or taking photos under a big tree, and breathe the cold fresh air. Life looks so simple and your life becomes vibrant at the moment.
Walking along the narrow path, you don’t have to think about the work you did at the office, and you don’t have to recall the kisses between you and your sweetheart last night. What you do is just lay down nearly everything, enjoying yourself completely in the relaxing environment. Your visual world begins to extend, your mind becomes clear, your imagination just soars, and your happy memories have just returned. Your heart was shut down in a house, and now your heart is open.
I prefer to take some photos with my phone to memorize each and every beautiful moment I can see, because the stunning moments won’t last long and will seldom return. Sometimes you can put yourself into a picture in which the cloudless sunny day is your background. And if you are not afraid of the cold, you can also sit down on the green, feeling the pulse of the earth.
For me, taking a walk in the bright sunlight has another meaning. What is it?
The sunlight is warm and full of energy, and is often regarded as something positive and optimistic. If you are undergoing something gloomy, walking in the sun even in winter is much worth it. Your gloom will sneak away momentarily and an optimistic view may soon dawn upon you. Or if you think it possible, you might as well hum a song that you even have no idea about.
Shutting yourself down in a dim room may not be a wise choice, for your mood will turn blue. Now the sun shines outside, why not walk out of your office or house to make yourself fresh again in the cold winter?
