Chang'an Avenue is considered to be the longest and widest avenue in the world, one of the most important avenues in China, known as the “First Avenue in Wonderful Land of China”. It is the east-west axis in Beijing, east from Dongdan, west to Xidan, north to Tian’anmen and south by Tian’anmen Square.
Recommended Reasons: It plays a vital role in Beijing even in China that it is near Tian'anmen Square-the Symbol of China and dotted with the Great Hall of the People (China’s parliament building), Zhongnanhai (the central Chinese government headquarters), Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Commerce and other central government authorities.
On the both sides of the avenue there are many cultural facilities such as The National Museum of China, National Center for the Performing Arts, Beijing Concert Hall and the headquarters of the Central Bank of China, the People's Bank of China etc. Both the Beijing railway station and Beijing west railway station are both located near Chang'an Avenue. Line 1 of the Beijing Subway runs under Chang'an Avenue.
