Mangshan National Forest Park

Mangshan National Forest Park

2016-11-28

Last weekend, we held an offline activity that included hiking in the Mangshan National Forest Park. As an employee of the host, I got up early in the morning and arrived at the assembly point at 6:30, an hour before the start time. After all the people arrived, we started to depart at about 7:40 than we arrived at the Mangshan National Forest Park at about 10:00.

Lead by the tour guide, we entered the gate of Mangshan National Forest Park. At the first place we arrived was a large statue of the Reclining Buddha who is smiling to everyone in front of him. It is so big that he is even higher than the pavilions behind him. There are 12 Chinese zodiacs on both sides of the Buddha and people started taking pictures with their own zodiac.

After taking a group picture, we started hiking. About 10 minutes later, we arrived at a pool named Fangshengchi, which means a pool to free captive fishes and other animals who live in water. But now the pool was frozen for the weather is cold.

When it came to stairs, we all felt a little tired but the animals such as dogs and cats along the way made the journey much more interesting. There are two cats that look like each other and we thought we’ve met the same cat along the way were actually two cats. “No wonder it can run so fast. This is not the same cat I saw at the last corner.” People laughed when they found out the truth.

Though there were very little things to see in the forest park as all the leaves were gone, we still enjoyed ourselves.
